Minot City Hall Rehabilitation Geotechnical Exploration and Special Inspections

THE CITY OF MINOT is seeking professional services from qualified contractors to provide a GEOTECHNICAL EXPLORATION & RECOMMENDATIONS REPORT and to provide CODE-REQUIRED SPECIAL INSPECTIONS for the Minot City Hall Rehabilitation project.
The Geotechnical and Special Inspections Engineer shall submit a full and complete proposal satisfying the requirements of this RFP, any deviations from these requirements shall be identified in writing at the time of submittal. For the Geotechnical Scope of this project, the selected Geotechnical Engineer will enter into an agreement with the Owner, based on the AIA C202-2015 STANDARD FORM OF CONSULTANT’S SERVICES: GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING. The Geotechnical Engineer and Special Inspections Agent shall hold the proposal open for acceptance by the owner for a period not less than 60 (sixty) calendar days after the date of submittal to the owner.

The work will generally include contract administration, sampling and testing, geotechnical reports, code-required special inspections.
Funding for this project will come from federal HUD Community Development Block Grant National Disaster Resiliency (CDBG-NDR) Grant dollars. The consultant will have to follow CDBG-NDR regulations and will need to coordinate work with the City of Minot Engineering Department, JLG Architects, and City CDBG-NDR office. All work must take into account the compliance with CDBG-NDR rules and regulations as well as any other State and/or Federal funding requirements. CDBG-NDR contract language will need to be incorporated into the consultant contract. Attention of respondents is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed under the contract, Section 3, taking affirmative steps to use small, minority-owned and women-owned businesses in subcontracting, Segregated Facility, Section 109, Title VI and EO 11246.
The proposal shall be submitted to JLG Architects no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021.
The City of Minot reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
