Fire destroys home, 2 vehicles in Wheatland Village

Fire destroyed a home and two vehicles in Wheatland Village Mobile Home Park on Sunday evening, while also damaging two other homes.

Minot Fire Department crews were called to 4805 17th Ave SE for a grass and structure fire at 6:52 p.m.

Upon arrival, crews found two homes and two vehicles on fire, with a third home also threatened by flames. Firefighters stopped the fire from reaching the third home, extinguished the fire in the second home, and made entry into the first home. The fire in the first home and the two vehicles was then extinguished.

All three of the homes were occupied at the time of the fire. All residents safely evacuated, and several pets were rescued by firefighters. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The first mobile home and the two vehicles were total losses. The second mobile home suffered severe damage, with the third mobile home suffering heat damage to the exterior.

The fire remains under investigation.
