Storm Sewer District 10th Street SW: Crews are entering their final week of underground utility work. Work on curb and gutter on 10th Street SW and 34th Avenue SW will continue into next week. Driveway aprons are being replaced over the next two weeks, and the top layer of asphalt paving will be placed in the next couple of weeks.
31st Avenue SE: Concrete roadway will be paved by the end of this week, and 31st should be open from 2nd Street SE to 13th Street SE by the end of this week. Work to complete the new curb and gutter, sidewalks, paths, and lighting will begin next week. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.
Flood control: On Phase M1, work is being finished on the brick on the new storm water pump station near the Broadway bridge, and staining of the new flood walls is nearly complete. The shared use path is being constructed on the wet side of the flood walls, and the final layer of asphalt paving will be placed on 4th Avenue next week. Work on Phases MI2 and MI3 is substantially complete. Work is ongoing on Phase MI4A continues with the relocation of utilities. Crews are boring new water and sewer lines under railroad tracks, and this work is impacting traffic on West Burdick, where traffic is narrowed to one lane in some locations.
