Temporary lane closures on Broadway Bridge to start Monday

Temporary lane closures will be in place at the intersection of 4th Ave NW and Broadway starting Monday, September 14. Contractors for the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project Phase MI-1 will close a southbound driving lane and northbound lane near the intersection of 4th Avenue NW and Broadway to replace concrete panels in the roadway. Lane closures will vary depending on the work area. The lane closure/reductions are expected to be in place through September and into October.

The work on Broadway is part of the Phase MI-1 Fourth Avenue enhanced flood protection project which includes a six block stretch of levees, floodwalls, a new sanitary lift station, and a major storm water pump station from just west of Broadway to the east side of Third Street NE. Construction on this phase is scheduled to be complete in late 2020.
