The Minot Fire Department has rescheduled testing for new firefighter recruits from May 7-8 to September due to health and social distancing recommendations amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re working now to establish firm dates in September for our recruit testing, and we expect to have those dates chosen this summer,” Assistant Fire Chief Lonnie Sather said. “Once we select the dates, we’ll make sure all applicants are aware of the schedule.”
The application deadline is Aug. 27 at 4 p.m. Anyone interested in applying for open firefighter positions can find more information at https://www.minotnd.org/173/Fire-Department.
“The fire service isn’t just a career, it truly is a lifestyle,” Sather said. “We encourage anyone interested to fill out an application and take part in our testing procedure. It’s a fulfilling career and it’s a great way to serve your community.”
