Crews from all four of Minot’s fire stations battled a large structure fire in southwest Minot on Thursday, successfully prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby residences.
The Minot Fire Department responded to a call at 11:40 a.m. of a fire at 1804 Aspen Circle. When crews arrived at the single-family residence, they found flames coming from the back side of the home. The Minot Police Department evacuated the structure prior to the Fire Department’s arrival.
The fire spread to the attic space and throughout the structure, including burning through the roof. Exterior fire operations were conducted due to the fire spreading.
No other buildings or properties were at risk during firefighting operations. There were no injuries reported.
Minot’s Fire Marshal has initiated an investigation of the fire. Estimates of damage had not been made as of Thursday afternoon.
The Minot Fire Department was assisted by the Minot Police Department, the Minot Water Department, Community Ambulance, MDU, and Xcel Energy.
