2020 Census

The 2020 U.S. Census means so much more for Minot and you may be the difference in millions of dollars for the community, enhanced interest for national business development, and making sure your local and federal governments understand what your community may need the most.

The 2020 Census will be one of the most important events for the community in 2020. Officially, the City of Minot has around 48,000 in population. That is likely above 50,000 now. Once Minot officially reaches that number it will qualify for annual federal allotments of Community Development Grants. This could mean millions every year in federal funds that will help reduce tax based costs throughout the community.

How to take the Census

2020 marks the first year you can self-report online, but that still isn’t the only way to participate in MORE this year.
