Citizen Academy Requirements

• The Citizen Academy will be 10 (ten) weeks in length for two and one-half (2.5) hours per evening.
  
  
• Applicants for the Citizen Academy must be 21 years of age.
  
  
• Preference will be given to those who reside and work in the city of Minot and also to those who have completed the Community Leadership Institute.
  
  
• Applicants must complete a Citizen Academy application form, sign a Release and Waiver (Covenant not to sue), and complete a background investigation prior to being accepted for the academy. No applicant with a prior criminal record will be accepted. The above process must be completed prior to the start of the class.
  
  
• Class size will be limited to twenty (20).
