Annual cleanup weeks, HHW collection scheduled

The City of Minot has scheduled spring and fall cleanup weeks for 2018, as well as its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection. If you have questions, please contact Public Works at 857-4140, or log onto the city’s website at

Spring and Fall cleanup

Spring cleanup is scheduled for May 14-18. Fall cleanup is scheduled for Oct. 8-12. Residents are reminded to set out waste before 7 a.m. on your collection day on the boulevard only. Any and all containers that are not garbage cans will be thrown away. There is a limit of two appliances per household. The city will accept tires and propane tanks during yearly cleanup. E-Waste- televisions/computers should not be set out for collection. The city will not accept paints, stains, oil, varnishes and other household hazardous waste set out for collection.

Household Hazardous Waste collection

The City of Minot will sponsor an annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection event at the City of Minot Public Works building on May 11-12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. All household hazardous waste, including E-waste, that is not normally picked up by the sanitation crews may be brought to this program free of charge for City of Minot residents only. The household hazardous waste drop-off at the Landfill is open from April 17 through Oct. 1.

Free dumping at landfill

City of Minot sanitation customers will be able to dump items free of charge at the Minot City Landfill during the week of July 16-20. Residents will need to bring a current water bill with them as proof of residency.
