OTHER BUSINESS

14.I.

ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CMCO – ANIMALS AND FOWL

A Special City Council meeting was held on January 17, 2018 to discuss the recommendations from the Prohibited Animal Ad Hoc Committee. City staff was directed to draft an ordinance amending the City of Minot Code of Ordinances to remove “snakes” from the list of prohibited animals and instead prohibit boa constrictors and all venomous and non-venomous injurious snakes as defined by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services.  It was also requested the ordinance allow individuals to keep, maintain, or harbor no more than four (4) non-venomous and non-injurious snakes as defined by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services in the City of Minot.

It is recommended the City Council pass an ordinance on first reading amending Section 7-5 and Section 7-15 to Chapter 7 (Animals And Fowl), Article 1 (In General) Of The City Of Minot Code Of Ordinances

MOUSE RIVER ENHANCED FLOOD PROTECTION PROJECT- INFORMATIONAL UPDATE

Attached is an update on the MREFPP which is submitted to the SRJB on a monthly basis.  It is for informational purposes and requires no action from the City Council
