City of Minot Requests for Sealed Bids

The City of Minot, North Dakota is requesting sealed bids for structures, to include homes and garages, for sale that were purchased by the City that are in the footprint of the flood control project.

The structures will be sold as is with no guarantee or warranty to the condition or soundness of the home. 

Each bid must include a five percent bidders bond in a separate envelope attached to the bid envelope.  Acceptable will be cashier checks, bidder bond, or cash.

All structures moved will require a ten-thousand dollar performance bond posted with the City within ten days of award of being the highest bidder. In addition, all structures moved must follow all jurisdictional ordinances and zoning codes in place at the permanent location of the structure. 

Within 60 days of award of the highest sealed bid the bidder must obtain the necessary moving permits. 

If the structure remains in the City of Minot’s jurisdictional boundaries a certificate of occupancy must be issued within six months of award of bid.

The list of structures (homes) available to the highest bidder with the minimum bid price are shown below with photos of the exterior.

All listed structures will be available to view on April 19th from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  There will only be one viewing opportunity.

All envelopes shall be sealed, and the face of the envelope shall be clearly marked “City Property for Sale” and must include the address of the structure being bid on.  Any bidder may bid on more than one structure.  Only one bid may be submitted per envelope and a performance bond is required for each structure.  All bids must be submitted as follows:

Bids will be opened on April 26th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall (515 2nd Ave SW, Minot, North Dakota).  Any bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened.

The City of Minot reserves, to itself, the right to reject any or all bids.
